The User Experience Product Designer II is a passionate, collaborative UX practitioner who is a clear and confident visual storyteller. In this role, you will be responsible for working with project leaders and teams by creating concepts with user-driven design solutions, user flows, prototypes, and high fidelity UI designs that achieve project goals by providing best-in-class experiences.

At Paychex, UX designers work with guidance from senior team members, prepare digital assets for the development team, and take on side projects to learn new design skills and grow their expertise. As an experienced designer, you will cultivate a strong working knowledge of multiple product lines and provide design support to junior designers.

Leading the gathering and formation of insights from user research, usability testing, industry standard patterns.

Applying user-centered design principles to identify design needs, craft design solutions, and deliver high-quality design.

Collaborating with business teams, engineering and the Product Owner to understand business and technical requirements.

Coordinating design reviews and planning to ensure compliance to design approach and language standards.

Developing work plans for design activities that include task breakdown, estimating, and dependencies to ensure accurate allocation of resource support.

Work closely with multiple agile teams to produce detailed design assets and ensure accurate implementation

Mentoring other designers on design standards, tools, and processes.

Sketch, wireframe, and create mockups and prototypes for web, mobile, smart watch, and smart speakers using modern design tools (e.g. Sketch, InVision, Zeplin)

• Bachelor's Degree in HCI, interaction design, UX, CS - Required


• Master's Degree in HCI, interaction design, UX, CS - Preferred
• 3 years of experience in Design experience and working knowledge of UX methodologies backed by a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design, highlighting process and methods to solve real-world problems. Professional experience with information architecture, interaction design, and agile development methodologies.
