Overview

Oversee the end-to-end payroll lifecycle, including salary computation, validation, disbursement, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing and Administration:

    • Manage the payroll vendor
    • Oversee the end-to-end payroll lifecycle, including salary computation, validation, disbursement, and reconciliation.
    • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and other earnings in accordance with company policies.
    • Coordinate with HR for employee lifecycle updates (e.g., new hires, exits, leaves, promotions) and incorporate relevant changes into payroll.
    • Administer payroll for different categories of employees (full-time, part-time, contractors,).

    Taxation and Compliance :

    • Ensure that outsourced vendor Manages direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, TDS, and income tax filings
    • Ensure that outsourced vendor Maintains strict adherence to Indian labor laws and statutory requirements, including:
    • Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS),Gratuity Act, Professional Tax
    • Ensure that outsourced vendor files statutory returns (e.g., TDS, PF, ESI) accurately and within prescribed timelines.
    • Regularly ensure that payroll practices are updated in line with changes in legislation and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education & Qualification

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting,

    Chartered Accountant (CA) (Good to have)

    Experience

    At least 10- 13 years of experience with hands on India payroll experience

    Demonstrated experience in managing financial operations in small to mid size organizations or multinational corporations.

    Experience with overseeing/managing India payroll operations
